Thank you very much for any insight and help you might be able to provide in getting this issue fixed! To my extremely non-technical eye, it appears there is a faulty connection between document files and System Data. When I copied the folder of images back to the HD, it showed both Documents and System Data increased by 38g. Both Documents and System Data decreased by 38g. So I moved a 38g folder of images from the Documents on the HD to an external drive. I was curious if the issue had to deal with Lightroom Classic or not. This caused Lightroom Classic to shut down the sync prematurely because the HD storage limits were reached. The problem was System Data seemed to grow in size at the same rate as files being downloaded from the cloud to the HD. We recently created a new catalog on the HD which meant downloading files from the cloud to my HD. I've been working with Adobe support to clear up some sync issues between Lightroom and Lightroom Classic.
